SPPAS --Automatic Annotation of Speech

SPPAS is a tool to produce automatically annotations from a recorded speech sound and its transcription. The whole procedure is a succession of automatic steps. Result is a set of TextGrid files. SPPAS is open source software issued under the GNU Public License.

  1. Annotation files: UTF8 encoding and nothing else
  2. Sound files: WAV MONO
  3. File names: No special characters (spaces, accents, etc)
  4. File names: exactly the same name for the sound and for the transcription (except extension)
